Gullivers in June 2019
18 Jun 19
Today the children of Crossley Mill were invited to come to nursery in their pyjamas for Pyjamarama. This was to raise money for the BookTrust, and to encourage more children to get into reading and have bedtime stories. Lots of the Gulliver children (and staff) came in their pyjamas, donated £1 and brought in their favourite bedtime story to read. The Gulliver children have also been busy making red, white and blue crowns to celebrate the Queens birthday tomorrow! We wore these crowns at tea time and had tea that was fit for the Queen! 🇬🇧👑 Literacy “Enjoys an increasing range of books.”
Bobkins in June 2019
18 Jun 19
This morning Bobkins have been busy helping make some green playdough to go with our theme The Very Hungry Caterpillar. All of the children took it in turns to pour the ingredients in and had a very good go at mixing it all up. They then had lots of fun rolling, patting and poking the playdough. 🐛

Lilliputs in June 2019
18 Jun 19
This week the Lilliput children have been doing some forest activities. These include den building in our nursery garden, where the children enjoyed having their circle time, using mud paint, to create some marvellous muddy masterpieces, and a trip to the woods to explore. We also created our own, dig dig dig tray, complete with real carrots 🥕, tomatoes 🍅 and seeds, all the children seem to be really enjoying it. UTW. Can talk about some of the things they have observed such as plants animals, natural and found objects. Comments and asks questions about aspects of their familiar world such as the place where they live or the natural world.
