Story:

Hi, my name is Olivia and I’ve worked here at Crossley Mill since September 2011, straight from leaving school.

I started my journey as a Nursery Assistant in the Lilliput room and gained my Level 2 and 3 in childcare alongside this role, I have worked in early yers since 2011.I have worked in all rooms at Crossley Mill but currently work in the Gulliver preschool room which is both a challenge yet extremely rewarding. It's a great privilege to see the children grow and develop in many ways and prepare them for their next adventure at school.

Throughout my time at Crossley Mill i have gained a wide range of qualifications, from forest school training to safeguarding, and paediatric first aid. I also completed my level 2 in Food Hygiene which means I am able to cover kitchen duties and cook for my toughest critics, the children!

In September 2023 I joined the management team and became third in charge. This new role has allowed me to have an insite into the running of nursey and a challenge which I have really enjoyed!
