Lilliputs - Senior Nursery Practitioner

Story:

Hi, I'm Andrea, I have my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Development. I have a vast experience of working with Children under 5, beginning my childcare journey 23 years ago when I became a childminder working from home. I then moved to working in a nursery setting for 7 years, before joining the Crossley Mill team in 2006.

I have worked in most rooms, all of which I have enjoyed and am at present based in the Lilliputs room. I progressed through roles, becoming Acting Senior Practitioner covering maternity leave, being offered the post on a permanent basis in August 2017. This role has enabled me to experience all aspects of nursery life, both with the children, and in the office, taking on the role of management in their absence. I am also festivals and celebrations coordinator, a first aider at work, and oversee and support any students we may have.

Although my role can sometimes prove challenging, it is also very satisfying and fulfilling, and I have more than enjoyed my time here so far......which is good, as I will be here forever.
