A big thank you to all the nursery children and staff who turned up as their favourite book characters for world book day on Thursday 5th March. From Batman to Winnie the Witch the children had a great time role playing their favourite characters.
The children in the Bobkins room also brought along their favourite story book to share with their friends at story time.
Even the staff had a great time as The white rabbit from Alice in wonderland and Mary Poppins even came to play. A lovely day had by all, check out the Gallery below to see just some of the wonderful costumes.
2014 has started with a bang for all the children at Crossley Mill!
We have all been extremely busy this January. The Bobkins children have been learning to feed themselves and sharing their skills at climbing on the frame. The Lilliputs have been having lots of fun dressing up in fancy dress outfits going on shopping sprees in the ‘shops’ and the Gullivers have been learning all about Africa from watching dancing on the computer to reacting these skills with the big drums.
The children then all came together at the end of the month to recognise Chinese New Year enjoying some delicious food and looking at the marvellous creations they made for the display board.
Take a look at some of the photographs and see how much fun we have had at nursery in the month of January
What a fantastic time it has been in nursery this week! The children and adults have had lots of fun celebrating Christmas from – dressing-up in wacky costumes, having a delicious Christmas lunch, singing Christmas songs for parents/carers and grandparents in the Christmas carol and Santa coming to nursery, where the children visited Santa in his very own grotto!
A big Thank you to Dave Sykes from J&C Joel, Sowerby Bridge, for kindly donating all the material to make Santa’s grotto look festive!
Here are just a few snaps of the festive fun we had this week.
Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy New Year from Crossley Mill.

Big thank you to all who attended, your donations were very much appreciated.
Check out our gallery of the children enjoying Halloween at nursery.
The children came in their spookiest costumes and enjoyed taking part in Halloween activities. These included pumpkin scraping, making spiders, ghosts and exploring the goo and seeds from inside our pumpkins.
The day was finished off with the entire nursery joining together for a slimy feast of pumpkin stew, jelly and custard.
