Gullivers - Nursery Practitioner Level 3
Joined in: August 2020
Hello, my name is Sally. I have recently gained my Level 4 qualification in Early Years and I am now working towards my Level 6 with the hope that it will lead to a final year of studying to gain my Early Years Teacher status. I am eager to continue learning and to keep my knowledge of the Early Years up to date.
I have had the pleasure of being part of the Crossley Mill team on two occasions before this one, firstly as a student back in 2009 and then again as a practitioner in the Lilliput room in 2016. In-between I have had various roles including being a Private Nanny and also a senior practitioner at another setting in the valley.
In 2017 I became a Mummy for the first time and it became clear that working full time wasn’t going to work for me and my family, I made the hard decision then to leave Crossley Mill and take on a part time role elsewhere. Even though I was moving on I knew that Crossley Mill was the setting I wanted my daughter to attend, Nellie is now almost 3 years old and has attended Crossley Mill since she was just 7 months old. The ‘Mill’ has provided her with the best start in life and supportive role models who provide a safe and happy environment helping her to reach her full potential.
Upon my return to Crossley Mill in August 2020 I became part of the Gulliver room team, my working days being Monday, Thursday and Friday. As a small setting Crossley Mill provides a home from home environment and I’m so content being part of the team again.
My job is something I am extremely passionate about and It is my belief that you get what you put in, I am committed to providing opportunities where children can learn and develop through fun and exciting play experiences all whilst preparing them for their next steps into the world.
